MEON VALLEY SUMMER ORIENTEERING LEAGUE

The league is for beginners and experienced orienteers.
The league will comprise five events, the scores from your best four events to count.
Help and advice is freely available, just ask when you arrive. NO question or query should remain unasked!
Start times are between 10 and 11 a.m.
Cost: £2.50 per map.

Courses

Points are awarded on a sliding scale according to finishing position.
Maximum points and approximate course lengths are:

  • Yellow 30. (2km)
  • Orange 40. (3km)
  • Red 50. (4km)
  • Light Green 60. (3km)

Certificates

Each competitor that completes three events will receive a certificate.

Medals

Individual male and female winners and runners up of these classes receive a medal. A minimum of 2 events must have been completed.

  • 10 years and under.
  • 11-12.
  • 13-14.
  • 15-16.
  • 17-20.
  • 21-35.
  • 36-39.
  • 40-44.
  • 45-49.
  • 50-54.
  • 55-59.
  • 60-64.
  • 65 - 70
  • 71 and over.

Groups that accrue more than 70 points will receive a memento.

Please note - you must compete in at least two events to qualify for a medal!

  • Printed results at the next league event (free).
  • Paying 30p and an S.A.E. at the event.
