Who are we?

We are the local Lions Club -- one of the 42,000 clubs that make up Lions Clubs International, which is the largest service club organisation in the world with over 1.4 million members in over 180 countries.

What do we do?

Our aim is to provide service, assistance and funds for those in need. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life for those less fortunate people in our communities.

How can we help you?

Our range of help is very broad. In the past we have:

• Helped to buy an electric wheelchair for a disabled local lady.
• Provided transport for people who couldn't get around otherwise.
• Arranged nursing help, caravan holidays, children's day trips, etc., for needy families.
• Regularly provided gardening help for a local elderly disabled gentleman.
• Given grants to young people attending international camps, etc.
• Paid for a student place at an agricultural college in Kenya.
• And much more...

How can you help us?

We are always in need of help. If you would like to join the club, or if you feel that you could help with our fund-raising, assistance to others, facilities, or in any other way, please contact us. (See "Contacts" below.)

We also need MONEY! To this end, we arrange fund-raising events throughout the year and ask you to contribute anything you can spare, to help us help others.

What happens to the money you donate?

Unlike many other organisations, absolutely NONE of your money is spent on salaries, administration, or expenses. EVERY SINGLE PENNY is used to help others.
